Intel’s all-new 12th Generation CPU lineup [Code name: Alder Lake] for Desktops and Laptops are launching tomorrow [4th Nov 2021].
We are excited to observe what this new lineup offers.
Intel has already announced some technical information about these new CPUs during its InnovatiON event on 27th October 2021.
It will be Intel’s first hybrid CPU design for Desktops and Laptops. It will also be the first desktop processor to use the Intel 7 production process which was previously known as Intel’s 10nm Enhanced SuperFin process.
The CPUs are based on 7nm technology as Intel’s new manufacturing process name suggests.
The hybrid word here refers to that the CPU having separate cores: High-Performance Cores and High-efficiency Cores as observed in Apple Silicon and other ARM-based SOCs (System on Chip).

This new hybrid architecture gives Intel CPUs a major advantage in mobile devices like Laptops, etc. where its high-efficiency cores can save a lot of battery and can provide longer work hours for the Laptop.
